A Halloween Cocktail feat. "SF" Apricot Pâte de Fruit
We told you we would be back in our bar someday! It only took us 9 weeks to get here but hey, better late than never.
The 2020 harvest season is officially over and we are now completely out of the fields! Just in time since we woke up to 20º weather this morning in Maine. Good times. The fall season is coming to an end and we are saying goodbye to our colorful New England Autumn and the spooky season! Usually our Halloween season is full of costume parties and sipping on Pumpkinhead ale with our harvest crew after a long week but like every event this past year, we’ve had to make adjustments! (Thankfully, most of our family lives on the same property so we have our own micro-community right here on the farm!)
We didn’t want Halloween to come and go without at least a little celebrating, so in addition to watching “Scream” on repeat and keeping warm with hot apple cider, we shook up our own version of the classic “Baltimore Bang” cocktail!
THE DETAILS
The “Baltimore Bang” is a classically styled drink that puts a twist on a whisky sour. This cocktail offers a simple, sweet flavor with apricot brandy and fresh lemon juice. We garnished this fruity delight with our new, limited edition apricot pate de fruit (hand-crafted by our own Chef Andre) to give this beverage a Schoppee Farm tweak!
THE RECIPE: Baltimore Bang

INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2 oz bourbon whiskey
- 1 1/2 oz apricot brandy
- 2 oz fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp simple syrup
- Orange slice and a square of Apricot Pâte de Fruit
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a shaker add ice, bourbon whiskey, apricot brandy, lemon juice and simple syrup.
- Shake well and strain into a chilled martini glass.
- Garnish with an orange slice and a square of Schoppee Farm Apricot Pâte de Fruit
- Serve and enjoy!
